Retail Banking Manager

Layton State Bank, an independent community bank with multiple offices located in the Greater Milwaukee area, is seeking a Retail Banking Manager.  This position reports to the SVP of Business Development.  The primary responsibility of the Retail Banking manager is to provide leadership and direction to the retail staff in such a manner that develops and maintains a customer-oriented sales culture. The Retail Banking manager will manage, oversee, and direct all retail banking functions as well as implement, monitor, and enforce all retail policies and procedures. In addition, the Retail Banking Manager will actively participate in the development and marketing of Layton State Bank products and services in an effort to increase sales and profitability of the Bank. The successful candidate will be a visionary person, able to focus on global issues as well as day-to-day operations. In addition to 5-7 years of retail bank experience and a bachelor’s in business or a related field, the ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and foster the development of a sales staff. Strong business acumen, strategic planning ability, and a proven record of sales and product development are a must.

Financial Consultant

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Consultant. In this role, you'll help clients achieve their goals by providing sound financial planning and guidance and offering investment, retirement, and insurance solutions. You'll develop, cultivate, and manage a client base through outbound calls, customer leads, and internal partnerships. Successful candidates will have:

  • A proven record of success in developing and managing an investment book of business.
  • A passion for developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 and Wisconsin Life Insurance licenses required.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
  • BA/BS in business, finance, economics, or related field is preferred.
  • CFP designation preferred.
  • PC proficiency, including MS Excel and Word.
  • Local travel is required.
